Supporting Me Fine is deeply personal to me. My brother Ryan has complex medical needs, and my family has spent years navigating the realities of increased healthcare costs throughout his life. Ryan is thriving today, but growing up, I saw firsthand how quickly medical expenses, therapies, travel, and other care-related costs can place significant stress on a family already focused on supporting their child.

That experience is one of the reasons I care so deeply about Me Fine’s mission. Since joining the Me Fine Foundation Board of Directors, I’ve had the opportunity to see the direct impact this organization has on families across North Carolina. Me Fine provides emotional and financial support to families whose children are receiving care at Duke, UNC, and WakeMed Children’s Hospitals — and in many cases, Me Fine is one of the only organizations our hospital partners can turn to when a family urgently needs help.
