Help me raise money for The Me Fine Foundation!

Me Fine serves as an emergency safety net for families who are experiencing stress from a child’s medical crisis. They provide hope through emotional support and financial assistance to families whose children are receiving care at North Carolina partner hospitals.

At Me Fine, the scope of assistance encompasses any treatment-related need that a family experiences, from overdue utility bills and mortgage/rent payments to groceries and medically necessary equipment not covered by insurance. Me Fine is flexible and responsive: Our referral process takes mere minutes, and assistance can often be provided the same day, without requiring any additional effort from already-stressed parents.

To address the challenges families face in a holistic way, Me Fine began sponsoring emotional and psychosocial support programs at our partner hospitals in 2013. These programs are designed to help pediatric patients, siblings, and parents process their experiences, tell their stories and find moments of joy and play during a child’s treatment.

Despite the growing pains of a small nonprofit, the changes in the healthcare landscape, a global pandemic, and whatever else the universe has thrown at Me Fine, I’ve come to realize that doing good never gets old. Our drive to meet families where they are and offload some of the burdens that weigh so heavily on them is just as strong today as it was the first time Lori decided to do something about it. - Joey Powell, Me Fine ED

At Me Fine, our mission to support families during their most challenging times is ongoing—and so is the need for your support. Last year, we provided assistance to 707 families, but as resources from other organizations shrink, the demand for our help continues to grow. The average amount needed per family referral increased from $325 in 2022 to $360 in 2023, reflecting the rising challenges families face.

This is where you can make a difference. We need your help spreading awareness for our campaign and inviting your peers to raise funds to support Me Fine families. Your support will enable us to continue meeting urgent needs, offering hope and relief to families facing medical crises.

2. Share our campaign on social media. Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok - whatever you use to post, like or comment, let your followers know about this campaign and why it matters to you.
